Canadian electro-pop trio, Dragonette, is preparing to release their third studio album, Bodyparts on September 25th. Along with recently released singles “The Right Woman” and “Let It Go,” the Toronto band has revealed new album track “Rocket Ship,” released as a free download. “Rocket Ship” is a groove-worthy track with a pulsating synth line. Singer, Martina’s, lyrics and hungry vocals add a layer of sensuality to the track with lines like “I want you to pin me like a poster to the wall.” “Rocket Ship” is just a glimpse into Bodyparts, an anthemic album of edgy electronic dance rock music that the group is notorious for.

Dragonette has teamed up with Talenthouse for a fan-challenge to create a version of the band’s album track “Untouchable” based on the provided lyrics alone, before hearing the band’s version! The mean guitar line and fierce lyrics of “My Work Is Done” will make you want to roll down the windows on a sunny summer day. Written and produced by Dragonette, “Let It Go” is a club-worthy track with a fist-pumping chorus and infectious rhythm and a pulsing beat. The driving drum beat and syncopated handclaps of the next single “Live In The City” continue the rock-oriented flavor over fiercely assured lyrics. “My Ghost” tenderly slide along soft arpeggiated synths, filling a melancholically beautiful soundscape.

Dragonette’s recently released single “The Right Woman” graces the new album and was featured on Diane Von Furstenberg’s compilation, Proud To Be Woman Vol. 3. The band’s hit single “Hello,” a collaboration with Martin Solveig, hit Top 10 in over 30 countries as well as achieving platinum status in the US and scoring the band a JUNO Award this year. Dan, Tina, and Joel will kick off a headlining national tour in support of Bodyparts with The Knocks this fall.
