WhoMadeWho

Danish trio WhoMadeWho, who issued the tear jerking video for “Every Minute Alone,” a short film of grown men crying and crying from start to finish, are back with an interactive version where fans can film their own scene through an iPhone or webcam. The video allows one to weep alongside the men who in their own way, all are struggling to hold back the tears of daily small time challenges. One can film a clip of their “problem” and then an accompanying one of their reaction. Find out how it works here.

“Every Minute Alone” is taken from their mini-LP, Knee Deep, on Kompakt. Knee Deep highlights the band’s love for electronic music in conjunction with ’60s inspired psychedelic vocal productions. As drummer and electronic handyman Tomas Barfod puts it, the mini album came from the desire to create “a focused listening album that draws on a more abstract musical starting point.”

The Danish trio WhoMadeWho is set to drop their forthcoming mini-LP, Knee Deep on April 26th through Kompakt. The band has also shot an accompanying video for the song that is featured right here.

WhoMadeWho brought their unique stage show stateside this March playing shows in NYC and several sets at SXSW ’11, sharing the stage with Daft Punk, Soulwax, Hot Chip, Justice, and LCD Soundsystem. Brooklyn Vegan even went so far as to say, “They are seriously awesome live, don’t miss them.”

While they may not be a household name in the states yet, WhoMadeWho has headlined several world tours since releasing their critically acclaimed sophomore album, The Plot (2009) which RCRD LBL noted as the “sleeper hit of the year.”

The first single off of Knee Deep is “Every Minute Alone.” Peep it here.
